My journey growing my passive income: Forex copy trading
Dear passive_income redditors, For years I searched ways to enable me to earn enough passive income to cover my daily expenses. I have tried literally everything online I could get my hands on, not all of them being 100% passive. Matched betting and value betting for example made me a couple of grand, but were about 10 minutes a day and were not scalable at all since I got limited very quickly. Crypto investing made me some good money, but also a lot of stress since it was the Wild west in comparison with traditional investing and days could turn out to double your investment or half your investment. Besides that I purchased a real estate property partly from my job earnings and partly from my crypto realized gains and am starting to rent it out (I know, we can debate whether real estate is passive, but that is not the intention of my post). Things that lost me money were dropshipping businesses, Facebook ads, and a lot of other silly stuff. But I found a hidden gem to make passive income easily. Earlier this year, around March I came across copytrading within the Forex market. I started in April 2019 with a deposit of $5,000. Today, June 12th, it's worth $5,800+. On average I got a 7-8% return in April and May on my deposit. While this is immense, it's more conservative to aim for a return of around 5% a month. The idea is as follows: you copy the trades a professional and profitable trader makes by automating the process using optimal software. You pay a monthly fee to cover for the traders' signals and connect a VPS to these two. I'm not a technical guy at all so I pay a legit business 25% of my net earnings to set it up for me and monitor it daily. They also fix your account when errors appear once in a while with the software. This way your accounts follows a masters' account managed by this professional trader and just copies his trades automatically. The traders you can choose from have historical track-records. The one I follow averaged about 6.7% compounded monthly since the start of his account in 2015. Resulting in a total gain of about 1850%-1900%. This is a 19x initial investment in 4 years. By using welcome deposit bonuses that different Forex brokers offer, you could double the gain or halve the risk (something I definitely do). This method is 100% passive and there is no chance of someone being able to access your money since the trader that provides the signals never has access to your account. Your funds are between you and the Forex broker you sign up with. So you are at control of your money 24/7 and able to close trades whenever you want as well (not optimal to do). Is it too good to be true? If you think this, I can't blame you. I always read these scams of Forex people on social media and I've experienced different ''too good to be true'' situations in my life. But remember, your capital can't never be accessed and these people have track records. In the 9-10 weeks I participated now, every week was profitable. Highest drawdown that occurred was about 6% (which is only virtual). So don't take it from me, but try it. Keep in mind that the only downside is with a 5% return and the monthly costs of 75EUR you have to have a capital of around $5,000 to start with to be able to make good returns and let it compound up. TLDR: copied someones trades in the Forex market using automatisation software. Paid 75EUR a month and made 16% in 9 weeks without doing anything.
What do you guys think of the Synchronous trading that is offered by Teletrade (and other platforms)? Synchronous trading allows you to link a real account to a master trader and the transactions he does, are also done automatically in your account. I like the idea of having a small team of experts with successful histories to make the trading decisions for me and me paying them a percentage (15-30%) of net profits. Some time ago I did some research about ZuluTrade, but I didn't invest any money because I read some scary experiences from other investors. Teletrade (and maybe some other platforms) apply a similar model but it seems more professional and serious. What do you think? is Synchronous trading high risk?

TL;DR The why as to why you trade is as important as the strategy you use to trade. I am new to Forex. However prior to COVID I was a professional card player but when the casinos closed shop I needed to find another source of income. Over the past few months I have been doing a lot of research into different strategies to use however, the one area of information that is rarely ever discussed is the why of why you are doing this. In any setting risk management is a major component to determine success but, what determines your level of risk tolerance is independent of each person's goals. Before I ever sent a dime to a brokerage or opened a demo account I asked myself these questions. 1.) What is my reason to do this? Determining whether this was something I wanted to do full time, part time, as passive income or as a challenge to beat. 2.) What is my short term and long term goal with this? Was I looking to make money right away? Was I looking to reinvest? Have a plan as to what you are going to do with your money beforehand and stick to it. 3.) How much time am I willing to invest into this? Practice makes perfect in any endeavor and to become good at something requires time. 4.) How much am I willing to lose before I call it quits? Just because you have 20k doesn't mean you have 20k to lose. Knowing when to walk away from a losing session is even more important than basic strategy as it will allow you to come back to the table to try again so to speak. Each of these questions lead to more questions until I had a defined plan of action as to how I wanted to move forward. These questions also gave insight as to the style and type of trading strategies I would be looking for as they fit my goals. The strategy I have been using is successful for me because of my style of risk tolerance and risk management but may not work for others. Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer are two of the most successful competitors on Jeopardy. However the strategy each used were different but worked for them. Same applies to professional poker players, athletes and almost any task imaginable. So I see many people asking for strategy advice. The advice I would give is for them to ask themselves not "How should I be trading?" but "Why am I trading?". This is just my two cents. Good luck to you all.
Has anyone got experience in using Forex Trading Robots? I had been wondering whether automated computer software could be used to make a small passive income by exchanging currencies and taking advantage of the small peaks and troughs in exchange rates. A quick google showed these robots but based on the limited number of articles on them I presume like a lot of investments the risk outweighs the reward?
Trading Educators. If you're new how you should see them & why their students defend them even if they're not profitable
As the smart people in trading communities know; Most educators are frauds there's always a narrative that they're experts in the business but they're never track records (third party verified) or live trading statements to back it up. There whole model is to create conflict of interests with the trader to shill courses, services and '70% accurate signals' and even recommend brokers for commission using Introducing Broker agreements or Affiliate links. If you're new to trading regardless of the asset class i'd view whoever wants to teach you whether you pay for it or not as a business teacher; They have no success in business (The Majority) But they're legally able to teach the theory regarding business... Why people back gurus up: #1 They feel like they're in an elite community lead by success; sadly newbies are often mislead #2 They buy courses/services and they feel like they have learn't something such as basic risk management, price action, support and resistance etc, wyckoff theory, all which can be found online. #3 When their victims fail they often blame themeselves because so many of their students back their favourite traders no matter the scrutinity/evidence. #4 Their students sign NDAs with the Trader before getting access to Trading groups & Materials so if they discuss anything or they will get punished (Inner Circle Trader ICT) Is a fake forex trader who does this practice. #5 The person defends the guru for not selling anything although he has affiliate links, promotes people or something else such as brokers or prop firms... Example of a poor brainwashed forex trader: I watch raja lives (Wicksdontlie) If uncle ted is there n dropping knowledge I soak it up U literally can’t say rajas faking it bc it’s all there the trades he takes what he loves off of Anything can be faked especially in the forex industry just look at my recent posts on daytrading or forex and you'll see. Don't fall for these 'Educators' who need you to buy there courses for 100s to thousands of dollars and sell signals for a subscriptions if you do the numbers you'll find out for yourself their incentive: YT channel 40000 subscribers sells a $500 course assuming 2% of his audience buys his course 800 people that's 800*500 that's $400000 easily made and completely passive many offer additional services such as signals and more for a fixed subscription ex. $25 a month if 2% of his audience subscribes to it that's 800*25 that's s cool $20000 a month and yes they may get less than a 2% conversion rate but 2-3% is average and even if 1% participate that person makes alot of money very easily...
How much of my portfolio should I move to Wealthsimple?
Hello PFC, I primarily bank and trade with BMO, although I also have an account with HSBC. I was quite a passive investor, but now I want to trade more actively, and Wealthsimple with their zero commission trades and no maintenance fees seem like a no brainer. I would like some advice on which parts of my portfolio I should transfer to Wealthsimple, so that I can save the most on fees and avoid Wealthsimple's Forex fees. I have a premium plan with BMO and have: -USD accounts (used for transferring USD to Investorline for USD trades) -RRSP (Holding BMO ETFs and Mutual Funds, around 10K total) -TFSA (Holding BMO ETFS, Mutual Funds and Savings, around 15K total ) -Investorline TFSA ( Canadian stocks, around 20K) -Investorline non-registered (US Stocks, around 10K) Thank for your help! (edited to add dollar estimates )

Become a Dropshipper - Dropshipping is not a strange term, especially when eCommerce is booming. Anyone can be a drop shipper since the work requires low investment at the beginning and also guarantees minimal risk. The system operates by purchasing the stock (goods) from a third party supplier or manufacturer, who then fulfills the customer’s request. You don’t have to shop or handle goods in advance because the product comes directly from the vendors whenever an order is placed by a customer. There are many dropshipping platforms out there, and some are basically free to use. You will need to figure out how to market the goods, which is where a blog or website comes in very handy.
Affiliate Marketing - Affiliate marketing is a popular method of making money online in South Africa and across the world. You can sell into a variety of markets with this business model, and make money almost anywhere. You can generate revenue from product sales. In other words, affiliate marketers will refer readers to a lot of products and get a small cut from them. Once a customereader buys products, you will earn a commission. A widely known approach is to start creating your own blog in a specific niche and to establish a trustworthy community that can purchase your promotions. Online Business with Etsy - Try selling DIY designs and crafts on Etsy if you’re a skilled maker. An Etsy shop is basically free to operate, and you can make real money with the platform. Once your registration is complete, you can start posting photos of your works, and people can purchase your products. There is really no limit to what can be sold on Etsy, but make sure that you are able to send your goods to other countries, as many buyers are likely to be in the EU or North America. A PayPal account is important to have and also a popular payment choice so that customers can pay you quickly. Take nice pictures of the items to help draw purchasers into a sale. Make sure that you have good customer service as well, or you won’t be selling on the platform for very long!
Forex Trading - You might have heard about trading FOREX or Contract For Difference (CFD) trading. The basics of this online money-making are simple. You will choose a currency pair, and bet on the direction of one currency vs. the other. For example, you could speculate that the EURO will appreciate vs. the RAND (or just about any currency). If you are correct, and then sell the contract, you will make profits. While this might sound easy, most people who do this lose money. In addition to currency, most retail FOREX brokers will allow you to trade in other markets, such as commodities, or shares. If you are looking for a reliable income, this probably isn’t right for you. On the other hand, if you don’t mind taking on risks, trading FOREX can be extremely profitable.
Need advice if I should continue investing in a forex group
Good day! Would like to seek advice. I have invested in a certain group of forex traders which gives you a certain percentage of your investment every month. In the end of contract you should have received all the promised returns + the original capital, more or less doubling your money. My experience so far has been positive and didn't experienced any delays and fully received all agreed returns + initial investment. I would love to invest again because it is passive income. My only concern is it has been flagged by the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) as illegal and any person involved might be at risked to be investigated by BIR or worse, imprisonment. The forex group's explanation is that 1) their name was used by a third party and they were wrongfully accused and 2) PH does not recognize forex trading yet and they are legit in the other country they are operating in. I trust a lot of people involved with them that is why I was not hesitant in investing the first time. Just want to hear some thoughts from a separate entity. Especially how the PH government recognizes forex trading in general. And help me clear my doubts in investing again. Thank you!

Let's recall the most common ways to make money on cryptocurrencies. 🔸 Mining - the process of conducting a transaction and receiving rewards from new coins. This is one of the most popular ways to make money on cryptocurrency. 🔸 Staking - coins that work on the Proof-of-Stake algorithm are stored in the wallet, and while it is running, they bring a certain income. 🔸 Stablecoin is a cryptocurrency backed by traditional assets like US dollars. 🔸 Trading involves short-term speculation, making a lot of transactions. 🔸 Masternodes - each owner of such a server, as in the case of staking, must be the holder of a certain amount of cryptocurrency. 🏆 Ways and features of earning with ZYX Network 💰 ZYX Network is a ground-breaking PoS-based product for a wide audience.
